As technology continues to change and grow, we often go out and buy new and more up-to-date models of the things we love to do. A new hobby has emerged with the development of drones and tons of different models and sizes have been flooding the market in just a handful of years.

When that happens to your old drone when you upgrade to the latest and greatest model? Your used drone can bring new opportunities to lower-income communities and schools.

While it is still in its relative infancy, commercial drone use is expected to triple over the next 10 years, creating more than 100,000 jobs and generate billions in economic growth. This year, drone usage is predicted to be 42% for commercial use, 22% for real estate and aerial photography, 19% for agriculture, 15% for insurance and 2% for government use. It is expected that by 2025 drones will have an 82 billion dollar economic impact and create 100 thousand jobs.

As both commercial drones and private drones update their hardware, it goes a long way if you take a minute to consider the option of donating your used UAV drones to a great charitable cause. Your generous charitable donations go to local communities and children in need. Communities benefit from your donation by empowering youth with the technology they would otherwise have no access to explore. Drones enrich the learning environment for children of all ages. Live events such as football games can utilize your donated camera drones by providing an educational opportunity for students to get hands-on experience with an exciting, new, and growing field of technology.

Giving center is looking for opportunities to partner with drone manufacturers as well as individual drone owners who are willing to donate equipment, donate UAV, donate drones, and much more. Don’t worry if your drone is not in running condition. Giving Center may still be able to accept your donation.

Giving center is an IRS verified 501(c)3 nonprofit charity. When you donate drone to Giving Center you are entitled to a tax deduction.

Giving Center will provide you with a donation receipt when they receive your donation. This will include the value of the drone or any ancillary hardware. Imagine the impact your donation could have on a local community that may need this technology but have been unable to afford it.

Starting the donation process is easy. Visit the Giving Center online and fill out the donor contact form.
