When you donate military memorabilia to charity, you are adding to the understanding that other people will gain about a war while helping those less fortunate. Donating war collectibles isn’t difficult when you donate to Collectibles with Causes.

Organize your military memorabilia. Take pictures and write down information for each item, including who used it and if you have any war-era pictures of the item and the military person who used it if possible. Doing an Internet search or taking a picture of your item and putting it in an image search can help you with reference points. This can help when determining the fair market value of the item. Collectible with Causes has a easy online form to start the process of your donation.

Enter your basic information along with a brief description of militaria, and attach a good picture so it may be assessed by one of our team members. Once the form is submitted online, a dedicated representative will contact you within 1–2 business days to go over any further questions they may have regarding your charitable donation. If it is something they are able to take in they would then go over with you, the donor, the best way in witch they can receive the donation.

Military memorabilia, often referred to as militaria, can include any and all aspects of military life including:

Whether your military collectibles are the Pre-1700 militaria, Revolutionary War collectibles, Civil War militaria, Indian War collectibles, Spanish-American war collectibles, WW I or WW II militaria, Korean war militaria, Vietnam war collectibles, Desert Storm collectables, militaria 1992-Now, military surplus, militaria publications or other militaria, they may be of benefit.

Collectibles with Causes is a part of a IRS approved 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. That means when you generously military memorabilia to Collectibles with Causes you, the donor, receive a fair market tax deduction that you can use at the end of the tax year. Check out the IRS publication Determining the Value of Donated Property for more details regarding the guidelines for itemizing donated goods.
